How We Help


This community shares knowledge of navigating the City of Austin’s development and building process based on experience and expertise. We also hold stakeholder meetings with the builder community, City staff, and other key partners in the development process to ensure that the code is being enforced consistently and fairly with a goal of processes becoming more streamlined and easy to navigate.


Your membership dollars fund partnerships with like-minded housing groups, lobbyist efforts, and to finance other specific projects to further our mission of infill housing.

Your Voice in the Development Department

The AIC Board and Committee Members regularly meet with city staff and stakeholders to understand the constant changes in requirements and fees.  We work hand-in-hand with city staff to make sure our voice is heard and advocate what's best for Austin.

Our online forums are a thriving community where you can go ask questions and get answers from experienced infill builders. Our monthly meetings build on that community by bringing in speakers on topics to enhance our business.
